I have a remarkable capacity to find and execute upon opportunities to innovate. I've been doing such for 20 years, ever since I was a teenager. I have a natural affinity for creative problem solving and, specifically, coding. Since I started at such a young age, it seems my brain has been trained to think in just the right way, and I've long been a successful student of what it takes to remain inspired and productive.
I have a great deal of enthusiasm for software development and technology. Nothing can take the place of passion for a field, and I'm fortunate enough to work in the industry that I love.
Put simply, I solve problems, I follow through, and I get things done!
I know exactly what it takes to sustain creative impetus, and have become a master of doing just that. I can take any team from a lull to an inspired frenzy!
I have extensive experience in x86 assembly, C/C++, reverse engineering, lossless compression algorithms, embedded linux, and low-level Windows.
I started writing Shareware as a teenager, creating BBS add-ons and other utilities.
Later, I developed PECompact, a Windows executable compressor. PECompact has been used by major software companies, including Google (on Google Desktop installer), Dameware, DivX, etc..
Other utilities and projects followed, such as Process Lasso, a Windows process optimization and automation tool. It has been a very successful project, and has a large install base of home and commercial users.
For over a decade I've owned and operated Bitsum Technologies (now Bitsum LLC). I've developed all aspects of this one-man business, from product development to back-end web systems. I have worn more hats there than I care to list!
